Our Baby is Growing up.

Another blog that starts with how Alexis is growing up. I just dont know who one day she is a baby, and now she is a big girl. This past weekend Ashley, Abe and the kids came over. Mackenzie is 4, and Landon is 2. He was born 1 month after Alexis, so they are really close in age. Alexis loves playing with both of them. Mackenzie teaches her all kinds of things with the barbies, and especially baby dolls. Well Saturday Mackenzie come walking in with a dog purse. So alexis had to have hers. It was really cute watching Alexis walk around mocking everything Mackenzie did. Then there was Landon. He is just so adorable. He talks so monotone, and it is just really cute b/c he is only 2 and doesnt show any emotion. But when he is mad, he is mad. Alexis like playing with Landon, i think b/c they are so close in age, that they like the same toys. Alexis is really into this "no it is mine" thing. At daycare, she has to share b/c the toys are everyones, but at home...That is a different story. Her, Landon, and Mackenzie fought over everything. Her and Landon were fighting over the rocking horse, so finally they both got on it and was rocking. Then Mackenzie liked ALexis doggie purse, so she started carrying it. Alexis didnt like it at all, so we started screaming and fighting Mackenzie. She wanted her purse back. But anyways, they all had a good time, and they slept good that night.

Sunday was just kind of a lazy day. We just lounged around and did pretty much nothing. Brenton and Crystal came over. The first thing Alexis does when Crystal comes is goes for her purse. She knows there is always something good in there. We finally got her mind away from the purse with books. Alexis loves her books. Jimmy and I just bought her a bunch of new ones last week. We got a couple singing books, and i tell you, that was the best investment ever. I got a few good videos of her singing along with them. SHe can pretty much sing a little bit of each nursery (ryhtms) sorry for the spelling. However, some she can sing all the way through. Twinkle, Twinkly...is our favorite. She is learning Hush a bye baby..She loves that one also, and she can pretty much sing almost the whole thing. A few others are Old McDonald, BINGO, Ring around the Rosies, Little boy blue, Three blind mice...THis is just a few...We love music. We sing every morning in the car. And i have sang to her since day one. So she really enjoys it. But anyways Alexis is doing really well. Jimmy and I are also doing good. For those of you who didnt know, Jimmy just bought a new car about a month ago. HE really LOVES it. It is now his pride and joy (2nd to ALexis and I...) But it is a 2005 VW Jetta GLI. It runs really good, however it has been in the shop b/c the check engine light has been on. So i dont know what is up with it, but hopefully it will be done soon. Then it is getting parked in the garage. We are going this weekend to hopefully get an addition to our house. A nice big storage building. We are putting it out back behind where the bathroom is, on the bank. This will free up the garage so we can park the car in there. But other than that, everything has pretty much been the same. We have got the back dug out, so now all we need to do is save 2500.00 for the retaining wall that has to go up before we can finish digging the rest of it out. We are hoping to have this done by next spring, that way we can have are patio built, and ALexis play are moved. So big and expensive plans, but in the end, it will look so much better.
